Trinidad Mooring and Launch Services will ensure that our work is performed in the safest manner possible. We believe that safety is not only what is written in a safety manual but rather the overall culture of a company with respect to safety. Managers, supervisors and the employees display this culture through their personal behaviours, decisions and actions.
In support of this policy, the management of Trinidad Mooring and Launch Services will:
- Design facilities, establish practices, provide training and conduct operations in a manner that safeguards workers, property and the communities in which we operate
- Respond quickly, effectively and with care to emergencies or accidents resulting from our operations; co-operating with industry organizations and authorized government agencies
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations and apply responsible standards of our own, where regulations do not exist
- Undertake appropriate reviews and evaluations of our operations to measure progress and to ensure compliance with this safety policy
We believe that the only successful projects are those that are executed in a safe manner and completed with an exemplary safety record. Therefore, we pledge to provide the time and resources necessary for our people to perform their duties in the safest manner possible.
In order to achieve these objectives, we commit ourselves to:
- Empowering our staff to STOP THE JOB whenever unsafe conditions exist.
- Maintaining a state of preparedness in the event of an emergency.
- Providing training, information and assistance to our workforce.
- Auditing our operations to identify issues pertaining to safety and security.
- Initiating corrective measures to prevent or eliminate hazards.
- Use of KPIs to track performance to ensure improvement and sustainability.
SAFE TO WORK (STOW) TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
Trinidad Mooring and Launch Services will ensure that our work is performed in the safest manner possible. The STOW requirements were created to provide a uniform way across the industry, of identifying and prequalifying contractors who operate according to superior HSE principles.

The improved HSE management systems through the STOW programme results in a reduction in incidents/ accidents, downtime and improves efficiency in business operations.
At the lowest level, contractors are assured that the legislative requirements of the Trinidad & Tobago Occupational Safety and Health Act (TTOSHA) are met, while at the highest level, all voluntary industry requirements will be met or exceeded.
